Scorncast | In Time

‘TIME’ CRIMES | Please pardon the artlessness and complete lack of imagination that begin these show notes, but... it’s time to talk about IN TIME! On this episode of Scorncast, Jasper and very special guest Karim peer into the quasi-intriguing future setting of director Andrew Niccol’s kooky what-if thriller — a world where chunks of life span have replaced cash money as the national currency, because that sounds like a great idea that totally makes sense — and wonder why most of the characters seem seem weirdly indifferent to their probable dooms. Also: The words “sexy,” “dangerous” and “doofy” are thrown around as much as the word “time,” Karim busts out his calculator to do some impromptu coffee math, and Jasper grapples with understanding the mechanics of giving and receiving. Typical. Click the Scorncast banner below to listen!

Rating: PG-13. Running time: 115 minutes.
