TEAM ‘AMERICA’ | Don't cry out loud, nerds. CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE FIRST AVENGER is the fourth and final comic-book flick to be released this summer, and though it’s a long 10 months until The Avengers opens next May, it seems the patron saint of superhero movies really did go and save the best for last. (Hmmm. That snow-coming-down-in-June bit notwithstanding, perhaps Vanessa Williams was right all along.) After liking Thor, disliking X-Men, and generally ridiculing Green Lantern, Jasper and co-host Ghostface Millah get pretty pro-America on this star-spangled episode of Scorncast. The guys discuss unusual special effects, underwhelming villainy, unexpected codas, and the many ways Captain America cut through their source-material ignorance and decidedly cynical biases, pausing only to proffer hot new marketing campaigns for Kraft Foods and Smith & Wesson.
