Scorncast | New Year’s Eve

BUMMER’S ‘EVE’ | It’d be super obvious to say that watching NEW YEAR’S EVE drove Jasper and very special guest Karim to make “NEVER WATCH ANYTHING LIKE NEW YEAR’S EVE AGAIN” their resolution for 2012, right? Er, not that they’d be able to follow through or anything; the title of “Scorncast” certainly doesn’t loan itself to a recurring discussion of the classics, and New Year’s Eve sure ain’t no classic. Festivity festers quickly as Jasper and Karim recap the myriad aggravating storylines of this awful all-star comedy, wonder if “confetti tester” is a viable career option, and propose an exciting alternate ending that involves: baby theft, a chase sequence, weaponized truffles, and the use of the Times Square New Year’s ball as a prison cell. So, basically everything you want in a holiday flick. Click the Scorncast banner below to listen!

Rating: PG-13. Running time: 118 minutes.

Scorncast #31: Auld Lang Scorn (33:05)

  1. 3rd checkpoint of confetti testing: does it sparkle and shimmer in a most pleasing fashion?

I love the still shot you chose for this.

  2. Thanks! We’ll add it and pass along the revised checklist to the VP of the Times Square Alliance.
